Why are the OFA charging for tickets?
If Oman are to consistently challenge on the world stage, then there needs to be investment in all areas of the game. Recent times have seen growth and the OFA has major plans to continue this expansion. In order to support this, a large number of income streams are needed and ticket income is one of these key streams.
The prices have been kept low as it is important to us that our supporters still feel able to come to the games and support the team. Our prices remain amongst the least expensive in World Football. For example our opponents in Australia charge up to 40 OMR for General stadium tickets.
Everybody in Oman Loves Football – and with your support (and small financial backing) – we will see the sport grow from strength to strength.
I am used to not paying for my tickets, why should I come?
We know that in the past tickets have been free. So to pay now may be a shock for some people. But for Oman to compete against the bigger teams – it is vital to raise more funds to allow for improved facilities better training, and ultimately better players.
The team needs your support on match day (and all year round). In order for you to feel that you are getting more value for money for your ticket – the OFA has improved the match day experience. The cost of delivering this leads to us charging for matches so that YOU can enjoy your experience and a better quality of football when you come to support your team.
If we have to beat our opponents – we need more supporters at our games as support from the fans can give the team a lift like nothing else can and help them beat their opposition.
